Local Water Done Well

Council has begun to explore options how to manage the district’s drinking, storm and wastewater in the future as required under the Local Water Done Well legislation.

Local Water Done Well is the government’s approach to reforming the way water services are delivered in New Zealand in the future. The aim is to address New Zealand’s long-standing water infrastructure challenges.

We encourage you to keep up to date with progress so you can make an informed decision in April 2025, when we’ll ask you which option you think is best for managing Buller’s water services.

Long-Term Plan 2024-2034

It outlines Council's goals, what Council aims to do, and how we plan to pay for what we will deliver to our community.

We encourage you to keep up to date with progress so you can make an informed decision in April 2025 when we will ask you for feedback.
