If you have a question relating to your building consent or any other enquiries, please email bdc-duty.inspector@bdc.govt.nz, including a detailed description of what you would like to discuss.
You can make a 10-minute appointment to see a Building Inspector by emailing bdc-duty.inspector@bdc.govt.nz or make a phone booking through our Customer Service team. When you book your appointment, please include your email address, phone number and a detailed message so we can respond efficiently.
Due to increased workload/staff resources an inspector will endeavour to respond to all enquiries within 10 working days.
However, if your submission pertains to a complaint, please note that it will be addressed within 28 working days.
To find out whether you need to apply for resource consent or for any other planning enquiry, please contact Council’s Duty Planner either by emailing planning@bdc.govt.nz, or by phone (03) 788 9603 between the hours of 10am to 12pm – 2 pm to 3pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday to discuss your proposed activity.
